Today my heart is full,
Overwhelmed by His presence.
Exulting in His goodness,
I can bear no more.
And yet,
I hold in my hand
Just one grain
From the infinite sands
Of His love.
I have tasted
On my tongue
Just one drop
From the mighty waterfall
Of His grace.
I have understood
Just one atom of truth
In the universe
Of divine wisdom.
This earthly vessel,
Even when brimming with blessing
Can contain
Just a bead
Of His eternal splendour.
I have seen,
Felt,
Tasted
And understood
Only a fraction
Of what God has in store for me.
Where I stand today
Is only the beginning
Of an eternal journey.
Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now. 1 Corinthians 13:12 New Living Translation
