Winter sadness begins, darkening my day.
Tired and listless, no joy do I find-
S.A.D. has arrived clouding my mind.
I looked for escape,a way out of my pain
Took a long nap but where was the gain
Turned on the t.v.,stared at the screen-
Flicked the channels what did I glean?
Called my friend,it was soon very clear
She's filled with joy, can't bear her
cheer.
Picked up a book, one filled with gore-
Only to learn I"ve read it before.
Maybe some food will give me relief
Of this down feeling,however brief.
I looked for escape to make my day bright-
Then I recalled, TURN TO THE LIGHT.
