It was a bright sunny day. The sky was a brilliant blue with no floating clouds to mar its perfect beauty.
Noah stood at the head of the ramp, at the door to his ark. Most of the animals were inside.
Only the turtles and snails were crawling in. His wife and his daughters-in-law were inside, setting up
the kitchen and making the beds. His two sons were outside checking the Ark and making sure all the
Cracks and crevices were securely covered with pitch and sand.
The crowd outside were jeering and mocking: Whoever heard of water cascading from
Heaven – they had only seen dew came down---and even if water did pour down, how will this humongous contraption, which Noah called an Ark, going to float? Noah was a fool to believe this.
The devil stood in the shadows. His face wore the same smirk he wore in the Garden of Eden when Eve ate the forbidden fruit.
Dark clouds covered the skies. A mild rumbling soon escalated into a dreadful roaring thunder.
The devil looked up and a fat raindrop landed on his forehead. Heaven’s artillery had opened up.
The devil was scared and scurried to the phone booth to dial 911.
The setting sun painted the sky a rosy pink. Birds were flying home to sleep. Bells tinkled as the
sheep followed their shepherd to the sheepfold. It was time for the evening sacrifice.
Elijah stood by the altar he had built. He had laid the sacrifice on the firewood. At his command
water was being poured on the altar until it filled the trench around it.
Then he knelt down and prayed. He prayed only thirty-seven words (I Kings. 18: 36 -KJV), one of the shortest prayers in the Bible. But what a powerful prayer it was!
The devil watched with his usual smirk. Who had ever heard of fire descending from heaven to
burn water? It is impossible.
An earsplitting thunder clap tore across the skies as a blinding light flashed
and fire descended to lap up the water.
Frightened and scared the devil ran to the phone booth to dial 911.
The silence and peace of predawn ruled the garden. A young cock raised his sleepy head and
Crowed heralding a dawn that was still dark .Birds drowsily chirruped to each other. The devil stood
before the tomb where the body of Jesus was laid. The Savior of mankind was dead and he, the devil,
had won. He smirked again.
Suddenly he saw the ground move and the stone that covered the entrance of the tomb move.
A dazzling radiance almost blinded him. He saw the Risen Christ in all His glory.
The deviled was bewildered as he dashed to the phone booth to dial 911.
A few days ago, I heard Pastor Matthew Hagee speak on TV about the effectiveness of fasting
and praying. He said that the devil did not approve of it and will do everything to thwart it. The devil
would send the enticing aroma of your favorite dish and cause your stomach to rumble and grumble.
He said that the best way to deal with that situation would be to tell your stomach in no uncertain
terms that if it did not stop you would have to extend the fast by one more day.
That would really disappoint the devil and send him back into the phone booth to dial 911.
It gives great joy to the children of God to know that in Christ they have the power to defeat the devil and make him desperately call for help.

It's good to remember that God is God and will be the Victor in the end!
Interesting.
I think this could be better if there were some separate paragraphs for easier reading.
