Friends come in different colors and angles. Some are flashy, others bright, some are soft, while others are intense. Some are exquisite and impeccable, and just as each color of the rainbow is unique and distinct, each friend stimulates us diversely in our lives. Friends are a treasure. If seen through a prism, they are absolutely beautiful and lend the luxury of their treasure to our lives. Just as light must enter a prism, friendship enters ours as a mirror to reflect back to us the beauty we see.
To describe the different shades of friendship is often difficult to explain, since we share our secrets with them, our fears, our hurts, our hopes and our joys. We share something in common and are tied together by memories, tears, laughter and life. Friendship is my heart, my soul, my love, my life, and all that comprises me. When we each share and give, we discover the aura of friendship.
Friendship is all about growing a garden of flowers. Seeds are planted, flowers bloom, blossoms form, and friendship becomes a beautiful prism of
flowers.
Throughout my life, God has blessed me with innumerable friendships. Each friend complements me in some way. They bring their tint into my life and it illuminates mine. Sometimes they are the magnifying glass, others the lens, some are mirrors, while others are reflectors. Some are my glasses helping me to see, and others are binoculars who help put everything into focus, both short and long-ranged. A friend accepts me in spite of who I am flaws and all. Proverbs 27:7 (NIV), “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Friendships do just that.
