And long shadowed shorter days
When the death rattle seedpods sound
All life drained, hope scattered
When Fear’s icy fingered touch
Petrifies the strongest hearts
When the lone black wolf howls, stalking
Weakened prey into the night
When storms of Anger churn within
And bitter waves onshore crash
When raw winds rage at timbers tall,
Encouraging ingrained pride
Remember the Promise of the Son
Look for those crisp, lace frosted nights
Softly blanketed with snow
He says, “Be still and Trust my Love
I seek for you such sweet peace.
Look for the bright cheeked child, breathless
At this winter wonder world.
You, as a child of innocence
Can my mystery explore.
Look for snowflakes softly dancing
Drawn upon inspiration
So my Spirit yearns for your Joy
Turn to me each sigh each beat.
Marvel as the misty dew drops
Hang cobwebby necklaces.
Strings of my Word last eternal
And with Hope I beautify.
Though each season carries sadness
Winter, can bright moments hold
Be not drawn into the darkness
Stand in Light of Trinity”
For God loves and gives Redemption
Freely to believers all
Will you take His hand and follow
Will you answer His Love's call?
So claim now, the Promise of the Son
