The ground is white. Sitting in my rocking chair before the bay window, I marvel at it, softly falling. The trees are laden so as to droop and sway in the gentle wind. My heart and soul are lifted heavenward. It's just like God, I think, to make snow so white. It reveals His innate Purity. It speaks of His Holiness, at the same time revealing His might and power. What can be more out of man's power to create such quiet beauty? Truly, it also speaks of God's eternal excellence which man at his best state can never attain.
But, more than that, by His own analogy, He has revealed in Isaiah 1:18 that He can make a man's sins to be as “... white as snow... ”.
So, yes, it is like God to create something so pure and white. In spite of our failings, like the gray-black driveway in my front of my house, we can be covered with the Purity of God through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, His son.
