as we travel through our town.
Look for all the lights that say,
"Stop! Wait! Go!" along the way.
Raise your eyes and look up high.
See the light up in the sky.
Over every truck and car,
these lights help us travel far.
We're like drivers every day,
needing guidance on our way.
Our Lord tells us, this we know,
when to stop or wait or go.
"Stop and stay," the Master says,
"like the light when it turns red.
Sin may seem to be quite fun.
Stop before you hurt someone."
Yellow cautions all to wait.
God's Word helps us navigate.
Think before you rush ahead.
"Wait upon the Lord," it says.
Now the best is yet to be!
Watch the Light turn Glory Green!
"Go!" God says, "and show the world
how I love all boys and girls!"
"Go and care for them each day
so they may see Jesus' way.
Go, and with your hands and heart,
give each child a brand new start."
Stop lights, wait lights, do their best
to keep traffic at a rest,
but the Green Light shines its song,
"Go for Jesus! All life long!"
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
