Out the door, and on the road. Traffic! I’m going to be so late. I wonder what it is. I hope if it is an accident they are ok. WHAT! No accident it’s a bike rider. Get off the highway!!!! I
At work, only one hour late. I’m tired. Is it five yet? Some coffee will hit the spot. Surprise, surprise, no coffee. Checking emails. Great, a mandatory corporate meeting at five. So much for leaving on time today. Blah, blah, blah…if they are going to make us come to these meetings say something important. What? Five thousand layoffs by the end of the month? Great day to be late.
On the way home. Traffic again. It better not be that bicyclist again. It has been a long day. I pick up the kids. Big hugs! Make dinner, do homework, give baths and into bed. Nine PM, time for me to go to bed.
My head hits the pillow. Ahh! That’s what I needed. Five thirty comes quickly. It’s been a long, hard day. But my soft, warm bed, beautiful wife and the love of my family makes the day seem like a distant memory.
