Then there’s Carolyn who’s always supportive and encouraging even when she’s going through rough times herself. Carolyn is my inspiration! When she suspected her husband of stepping out on her she dug her heels in to her faith with fasting and prayer. Though she was advised to leave her husband, she held onto God’s promise that He would ‘make things right’. Carolyn fasted and prayed for her sons who were on the wrong paths and now both are serving the Lord. Stephen is happily married and has his own construction business that does very well even in these rough economic times. Dave is in college studying to be a youth pastor and though he is going through some rough times himself, Carolyn is his anchor! And God did make things right in her marriage.
Diana is always on the other end of the phone when someone needs her even if it happens to be at 2 AM! While I was having a really hard time with a very severe medical condition, Diana prayed me through. Within just ten minutes of her praying my condition was healed just like that!
Dorothy was always there for me while I was suffering from a psychological disorder I didn’t even realize I had. How wierd is not knowing you have a mental illness? But Dorothy was my life-line, literally for many, many years while I fed on the word of God until I overcame the condition through the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. I no longer suffer from depression. If it weren’t for Dorothy, I don’t know that I would have survived. I may have ended up in a mental institution. So I truly thank God for her.
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:14
These sisters-in-Christ are my Christmas "LIGHTS" all year round.
