Wags ran after the bone as if another dog was going to get it before he did. He ran back to Ken, and played hard to get, as Ken tried to get the bone out of his mouth.
"Grrrr Grrr," the dog growled.
"Come on. Give me the bone," said Ken. This was the routine every time Ken came home to his parents' house for the weekend from the Austin Vocational Technical Institute. No matter how long the game went on, Wags never seemed to get worn out.
"Wags, I wish I could take you with me to my apartment. We would have so much fun," said Ken. During the week Ken had no one to greet him at his apartment when he came home from school. That is one reason he looked forward to the weekend.
Ken threw the bone again, Wags flew across the floor to get the bone then he ran back. Wags and Ken Liked getting into a tug of war. Finally Wags gave up, and let Ken have the bone. Ken threw the bone again, and Wags ran again. This went on for at least an hour. Then Ken got tired and went to bed. Tomorrow he would wake up and go through the same routine.
