Well... all good books must eventually come to an end. It was probably my melancholy nature that prodded me to feel the same way about friendship. I began to silently mourn, knowing the day would come when my kindred spirit would move away, out of my reach. I questioned God, asking why He would create such a friendship, only for it to last a season.
God answered. He told me that true friendship is not confined to a season. It holds seasons.
God created relationship to be a reflection of the communion He wants with us, and that is an eternal relationship. So should'nt it follow that our God-ordained friendships last longer than a season of our life, that they themselves have a sense of eternal kinship?
If God wants us to have a glimpse of His constancy, the friendships He provides us with will be the picture.
