I started writing poetry as an adult. I graduated from school in 1970 and attended college in the 80's when my children were little. But nothing could change my mind about writing, I just plain hated to write. But I had to take a writing class so I took writing 101 and loved it. Maybe it was the professor or the other students I really just don't know. But I took to writing and loved it. My first poem was written in 1978 titled "I Dreamed About Grandma Last Night" it was a dream about my grandmother shortly after she died. The second was "The Enemy" and for years I didn't write again until I got my first computer in 1998. I have had two poems published and two waiting to be published, "The Deer and "Smiling At The Stars".
I am a wife of 34 years with a son and daughter, both are married. I have two wonderful grandson who keep me busy and about whom some of my poetry is written about. I am currently working on a book called "Let The Spirit Flow" which will contain most of my Native American poetry.
