We’ve got a great lineup for you at the conference this year – including several extras (check out this post for details or look at the information on the conference page) included in the conference cost.
But today, I’m going to talk a bit about the workshops available, and the instructors who will be teaching them. They include the following:
Timmy Boyle, upstanding comedian, in addition to his comedy show, will be teaching a workshop on finding humor in life for use in your writing.
Lisa DeSpain, ebook publishing specialist, will present a workshop on the how-tos of her specialty.
Tamera Dever, book designer, will present a workshop on the importance of book design – in addition to her book design evaluation appointments
Leslie Gould, award-winning multipublished author, will present a keynote on believing your story, as well as a workshop on connecting your story arcs. She will also participate in a publishing panel with several other writers. (See below)
*The publishing panel will focus on the pros and cons of the variety of ways to being published. Panelists will include Leslie Gould, Deb Porter, Amy Wiley, and Rick Higginson.
Rick Higginson, longtime FaithWriter, will teach a workshop on writing “outside the box” and will participate in the publishing panel.
David Ian, longtime FaithWriters member and founder of Unchained Productions, will teach a course on scriptwriting.
Deb Porter, FaithWriters Queen (wink), will participate in the publishing panel, teach workshops on critiquing and devotional/inspirational articles, plus her speed critiquing and one-hour appointments.
Corrine Smelker, longtime FWer and busy freelance writer, will share a workshop on the freelancing business, as well as participating in speed critiquing appointments.
Sally Stuart, writer, marketing expert, and founder of the Christian Writers Market Guide, will present a keynote on marketing trends and teach two workshops: one on basics for the beginning writer and another on identifying the right market for your written work.
Amy Michelle Wiley, longtime FWer and freelance editor, writer, and mentor, will participate in the publishing panel and teach a workshop on showing and not telling in your writing.
What a great lineup! Be sure to stop by the FaithWriters Conference Page and register!
