Christian Living
We are for God. Hence He and His things should come first in our lives. When we seek first the Kingdom of God and it’s righteousness, all other things shall be added onto us.
We should not put our friends first and God second. This should be noted especially in situations when a friend tries to cause us to do that which is not in conformity with the Word of God, or tries to inhibit us from doing that which would please God. At such points, we should choose God and do His will.
Our friends could be used by the devil to come to us. We should love God with all our hearts, soul and mind, and then love our neighbour as ourselves.
Like the Good Samaritan however, when we find out that a friend is in any form of need, we should attend to him or her before going about our spiritual duty. This would greatly please God. By doing what pleases God, we show that we love Him.
God requires us to settle our differences with others before giving Him our offerings. To obey God is better than sacrifice, and to obey God, is to love Him. ([email protected])

This is a great encouragement. You are right in saying, "God first." To have any other is idolatry.
