Faith
One of the things that I have been learning over the last five years, is what it means to rest in the Lord, in the midst of the storms, the battles of life, that we can have that peace which passes all understanding, because it is not based in ourselves but in the Lord, allowing the Holy Spirit to bring a rest that only the Father can give us!
That no matter where we are in life, in our walk, we can abide in Him, that in that abiding, in that dwelling place, we find strength, calmness, rest. That we trust Him even when we don’t understand the why of things!
On the mountain top or in the valley, I am finding a resting place, where I can literally rest and trust in Him and that gives me strength for the day, knowing that He is walking with me and He will finish that which He has begun.
My part, our part, is to trust Him and to say “Yes Lord, this day is a new day, a fresh start, a new beginning, let us walk together, let us be one. Teach us, to hear your voice in the midst of life, for it will give us strength to walk with you.”
I know it is the storms and the battles of life that try to drown out that still small voice of the Holy Spirit and that we are being taught to be attune, so no matter, where we are in our walk, on the mountain top or in the valley, we will hear that still small voice that says “be still and know and follow me.”
When we do, a strength will be given to us, a peace that passes all understanding, and we can truly say, “It is well with my soul!” Even when we don’t understand the why of things, we know, that our Father is moving us forward in His purposes, His directions!
A day will come, when we will look back and realize, that our Father has been with us all the time and has brought us into a place of trust, of knowing Him, to a place that others will see the peace that we have and they too will want to know the source of our strength, that we will be able to share the Lord Jesus Christ with them, because of what they have seen working in our lives, not so much by what we have said, but what we are living!
Let us wake each day and walk with our Father on this journey set before us and learn to hear that still small voice and say, “Good Morning Father, let us walk with you this day!”
Till later,
Paul
