I used to be part of a small group of writers who met in each others homes for the purpose of sharing our writings, and our common desire to minister through the gift of writing. We each took turns reading, then those present would give encouraging comments.
Faith Writers is that "small group" in my life at this present time. While I am not on here every day, and I do not comment on too many articles, I still have a connection with this small group.
I say "small" because it seems not only I, but others of you travel in the same circles. We can't read every article, but we can read some. And we can, and do give encouraging words to those whose articles touch us.
I feel as though I know several of you! I hesitate to mention names, but I hope you know who you are. I pray we get to meet one day. If not in this life, in heaven!
While Faith Writers may have started out as a place where writers can critique each other, I have found it to be a place of great encouragement! I've noticed that the majority of posts are simply encouraging words.
Encouragement to a writer is like a cool, refreshing drink to one who is in the middle of a desert, and it gives strength to continue on in the ministry of writing, to which we have been called.
Why am I writing this impromptu article?
To say a BIG "Thank You" to all who have encouraged me with your
words of blessing.
I am so disappointed that I cannot attend the first conference for Faith Writers! I live just about 3 hours away, so I plan to be there next year, if it is the Lord's will.
God's best to you all!
Now go encourage at least one writer.

Encouragement to a writer is like a cool, refreshing drink to one who is in the middle of a desert...Amen Barbara. It shows the love of God is in our hearts when we encourage one another. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
