Classic Guy was used to people staring at him, but he took it all in stride. He was not conceited or full of pride about his looks, he was as nice and kind as could be.
He went out of his way to help students who others looked over and felt superior to. People were not used to a handsome guy like him being so kind to everybody.
When he changed schools and enrolled in his senior year, he did not mean to, but he cause a lot of fights and disturbances with girls bickering over him and competition all over the place, especially right after school was out in the afternoon.
Classic Guy just shook his head, got his football gear and walked to the field for practice.
The two most popular girls in school were constantly at odds because of Classic Guy. They had been best friends since first grade but when he came on the scene and they both wanted him, they became arch enemies. The death of a friendship. What a shame.
One girl finally triumphed through persistence, feminine wiles, underhanded pranks toward her competition, perservance and shameless aggressiveness.
Classic Guy was hers alone. She beamed and strutted her triumph constantly in front of those poor girls who would never know the joy of being his alone.
Classic Guy and Girl Triumphant settled down to a little house in suburbia and tried to start a life, but it was difficult. Women were always smiling, and smiling and smiling…
She had to be on a constant lookout because someone always wanted to cook something, fix somethimg, ask something of her hubby, the Classic Guy.
She was always angry and tired because of her constant surveillance. The relationship was rocky.
It probably could have survived if they had been Christians. God will help us mend and repair broken relationship and restore marriages, but neither Girl Triumph or Classic Guy kept the faith that was taught to them as a child.
Classic Guys’s father was a minister and all of his brothers, too. He told them that he would come back to Jesus after he did a little experimenting to see what else was out there.
He told them it was his choice as to whom he wanted to serve.
They moved to California. Everybody kept telling them that Classic Guy should be in the movies with that face and physique. Maybe he could start out with a part on a Soap Opera or something.
It did not work out. Women were constantly chasing him in California too, and he did not have a talent for the screen. He really wanted to play football but that did not work out either.
In the meantime Girl Triumphant was very successful at turning out offspring, nearly every other year! Soon they had six little stair steps who looked just like their father.
Classic Guy worked a variety of jobs but couldn’t get stable in any one. Yes, there was the problem of women chasing him, but he was a laid back kind of guy and soon found himself hanging out with a group that called themselves “The Love People.”
He attended several meetings and discovered that they were involved in substances and one night tried them for himself. It was a "classic" mistake.
His personality changed. It went from laid back to so laid back that there were long stretches of time when Girl Triumphant did not know if he was dead or alive.
He could sit for hours contemplating his navel and could stare at a single rose for long periods of time, just saying,”Wow,” over and over.
Soon Classic Guy was fired from his job when his supervisor found something extra in his teapot one morning, and the descent began.
Classic Guy changed his name to Love Love Love Universal Love Love Love Love. Three loves at the beginning and four loves at the end. If you messed it up, he would correct you.
He could not settle down and traveled a lot, often living with the Love People from state to state. He constantly bickered with people over the pronunciation of his name and snapped at strangers who stared at or admired him.
He became very angry. He wrote a book about his life and his new found beliefs, but none of his old classmates could understand what he was trying to say in it. He explained to some of them that he was a shattered man. He was a lost man.
He was a man with many wounds and bruises because women treated him as a object and not as a person! Some of the men thought he was crazy. They longed for women to treat them as an object, but Love Love Love Universal Love Love Love Love tried to explain to them that his fabulous face and physique had brought him much pain and suffering.
The men had no sympathy for a guy who hated his own reflection and began to call him "Cracked Pot."
Girl Triumphant finally got tired of him and kicked him out and raised the kids with the help of her brothers and close relatives.
Love Love Love Universal Love Love Love Love is now incognito. Even in his forties he could stop traffic with his looks, so he now wears baggy clothes and a long beard. He wears his hair long, too and thick glasses adorn his face.
Now he is looking diligently for God-the God that his parents taught him about when he was a little boy. He goes from church to church from library to library. Crying, he now tells people that God is hiding from him.
A lot of people who decide to mock God end up losing their minds.
His father taught him the truth as a child. Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. He decided himself to explore other beliefs which has cost him his peace of mind.
Daniel 4:33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled on Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until his hair was grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.
2 Samuel 14:25, 26.
But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year's end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king's weight.
2 Corinthians 5:16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
