A True Story. Thank you for taking time to read. I pray you are blessed!
When my three granddaughters, Nicole, Ashley Rae, and Erin were small, they spent a lot of time at my house. Of course, I loved it!
Ashley Rae, my second granddaughter, was plagued with physical problems, from birth. By the time she was eighteen months, she had been hospitalized with pneumonia, and croup. The E.R. was becoming a familiar place for her.
Ashley Rae loved kittens. When she was four I adopted a beautiful gray one. It didn't take long to discover Ashley was allergic to Stormie, our new family member. When she was around Stormie her eyes would swell-up, turn red, and itch like crazy. Besides that, when Ashley held her, it seemed to cause a reaction in Ashley's breathing passages.
I decided to keep Ashley and the kitten separated. It was sad to watch Ashley sit back and away from her, while her two sisters played with and loved on Stormie.
I could see the longing in her eyes to be part of the fun.
One morning, their mother, Angela called me and asked if I could watch Nicole and Erin while she took Ashley to the doctor. She had made a decision to see if Ashley might need allergy shots.
That meant a series of tests. My youngest daughter, Amy, had gone through the whole process when she was a pre-teen. I knew the testing would involve small needles being inserted just under the skin on Ashley's back.
Amy had received four shots each week for about two years and they had not helped. As a matter of fact, I had come across a magazine article that said the shots were being called controversial. I stopped the shots. I didn’t want Ashley Rae to go through the same ordeal.
Angela brought Nicole and Erin by, and as she was leaving, she paused and asked, "Are you going to watch the "700 Club" today?" (The program came on at different times. Angela watched it in the morning, and I, in the afternoon. She had already seen it before coming to my house.) I replied, "Why? Is there something good on there?"
She proceeded to tell me about an interview Pat Robertson had with a certain man. It seemed his wife, son and daughter had all been healed of major illnesses. His wife had received a rather dramatic healing from M.S. As Angela shared the story, the impact it had on her was obvious.
When she left the house I smiled and thought, "I might as well not watch it today; she already told me the whole thing.” The girls wanted to go outside and play, so I watched as they went out into our fenced-in back yard, then I sank down into my cozy recliner and began to watch the program.
After the man shared the story of his family’s healing, I thought, "Angela was right. It was awesome!" Then, Pat asked the man to offer a prayer for the viewing TV audience. The man opened his mouth, but I never heard a word he said.
An invisible bolt of lightning shot out from the television screen and hit my body. My arms immediately went straight up. The force of it kept me pinned back against the recliner. My entire body began to tingle, from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet.
Electrical currents ran through my entire being. It was as though I had been hit with a stun gun. Invisible rays of power ran up and down my body. I could not move. But out of my mouth came a whisper from the depths of my being, "For Ashley Rae, for Ashley Rae."
The tingling, electrical current sensation grew stronger and stronger. It was like my arms were paralyzed - frozen in mid-air. I knew I had been "zapped" by the power of the Holy Spirit; and since the only part of my body that could move was my mouth, I prayed for Ashley Rae.
I said, "Satan, in the name of Jesus, I command you to take your hands off Ashley's body. I curse your power in her life. Your power is broken, and I put you under my feet. You will not plague her life with one sickness after another! She is covered by the blood of Jesus, and YOU CAN'T HAVE HER!" Your power is broken in her life and she is healed, in Jesus’ name!”
Now, remember, the Holy Spirit had me backed against that chair, my arms were straight up in the air, electrical currents were going up and down my arms, and my entire body, and the only thing I could move was my mouth!
After I prayed that prayer, I began praising God for healing Ashley Rae. The electrical currents were still very strong, and my body felt very weak. But, still, I could not move. I don't know how much time passed, but it was a good amount of time. I thought about the other two granddaughters who were playing outside, and I prayed for their safety.
The currents and the tingling were beginning to fade away. At that moment, I could "see" me wrapping my arms around little Ashley's Rae’s body. When she returned, I was going to hug her and the healing power in my body, was going to be transferred to her body, and she would be healed! I was still sitting in the chair, very weak from the experience. As the sensations began to diminish, I prayed Angela would soon return.
God answered my prayer. Angela returned, and I was now able to move my body, however I still felt weak. I stood up and asked, "What did the doctor say?" She replied, "He said she needs to have the tests done. I set up an appointment for the testing." I said, "Well, I want to take Ashley in the bedroom for a minute." (I remembered Jesus sometimes wanted seclusion when healing others, but I didn’t want to explain my reasoning at that moment, because I wanted to pray.) Angela didn't ask why, and said, "Okay."
In the bedroom, I got down on my knees in front of my precious, unquestioning granddaughter, and without saying a word, I wrapped my arms around her little body. I held her close, and prayed, silently, "Be healed in the name of Jesus."
Then I released Ashley, and held her back at arm's length. I looked into the big blue eyes of my four years old granddaughter and asked, "Ashley Rae, what did you feel when I hugged you?" In her little, child-like voice, she whispered, "Somebody touched me." I said, "But what happened to you?" She said, "Jesus healed me."
And, my friends, that is exactly what happened! Jesus healed Ashley Rae.
From that day on, she began improving. Angela cancelled her appointment
for the testing.
A few weeks later, while Angela and the girls were waiting at the bus stop for the school bus, a little kitten appeared, out of nowhere. That snow white kitten insisted on following them home.
"Babe", as they named her, was a much loved family pet for seventeen years. Ashley never had another allergic reaction to cats, or to anything else, for that matter. Last year, being the cat lover she is, she brought two more cats into the family.
God is so good. And friends, He still heals, today. He has not changed! Do you need a healing? Trust in the Lord, and what He did for you at Calvary when he shed his life's blood for your salvation, and he took stripes upon his body for your healing!
“By His wounds you have been healed.” (I Peter 2:24)

"Do you need a healing?" Yes. Trust in the Lord," Yes ma'am. Thank you for sharing that awesome testimony. I don't know how my healing is coming about. I just know that it is... that I'm healed because He says so.
