Encouragement
I am learning to love again!
Learning to love the Lord and in learning to love Him, to love my children, grand-children and those that are important in my life, with a true love.
A love that is being birthed from time spent with the Lord, getting to know my Father. How else can we truly learn to love? To love others, to even love ourselves and forgive ourselves, unless we spend time with the Lord.
To have intimate, heart to heart, relationship with Him! It is during the time we spend with Him, that more and more areas of our wounded hearts, our spirits, our souls are touched by the love of God and the healing process of His presence begins to seal the wounds.
During the dark nights of the soul, when everything look’s hopeless, is the time that we are brought back into focus, into the center of God’s will and purpose for our lives.
When I was going through the times of recovery from the surgeries, and the other events of my life and I was literally on my back for almost a year, the only way I had to look, was up!
There was no one I could go too, as I went through the surgeries, the recoveries, the dark nights of the soul. I looked to the Lord and I cried out to Him, and like the Psalmist David, the Lord heard my voice and my cries and out of this, I am truly learning to love again.
A love, that is birthed out of a relationship with the Lord.
It is a love that will sustained us and give us hope and purpose, when nothing else will. A love that will allow us to write, to share, to speak from the heart.
A heart that has been broken and made whole by His love! A heart that has become passionate for Him! A heart that will share of the greatness of a Father who loves us so much, He allowed us to go through what we have to get us where we would learn to know Him.
As I shared last night at the Christian Authors Guild in Woodstock, Georgia, that hopefully all that we write, what we share, as writers, as bloggers, as Christians, as friends, will touch the lives of others.
That we will share the compassion and true love of the Lord, of our Father.
Learning to love again, is a work in progress, a work, that if we allow it, will change us and those around us as we learn to walk daily with the Lord and in walking with the Lord, we are learning to love again and given a change of heart!
