Healthy Living
When we think about exercise, we probably think about keeping our body in shape. But have you ever thought about what a great exercise a little walk can be for your mind as well?
One of the best exercises we can give our body is a brisk little walk.
A good time out to try it is when things are getting too hectic in your life. Just stop what you are doing and go for a little walk. Take your time and don’t walk too quickly.
Take an interest in what you see during your walk and notice things along the way. Forget about your problems and troubles for a short while and let your mind take you other places.
You will notice how relaxed you feel, even as you are exercising. Lose your cares and worries and concentrate only on positive thoughts. The change of scenery will do you as much good as well as the physical activity itself.
Taking a time out to go on a brisk walk could help ease the daily life pressures that come your way. You will feel the benefits not only in your body but also, in your mind. You will grow less tense with each walk.
This should be a time for you and to think about God and other positive things. You will become relaxed, at peace in body and mind and prepare you to tackle any problem.
Make it part of your daily routine - morning, afternoon or evening. A brief walk can help you clear your mind just as it helps to keep your body in shape.
No need to rush this is not the time to be in a hurry. Enjoy your walk. Let it be something you look forward to - a simple pleasure in your life. Give your mind a chance to enjoy the exercise just as your body is benefitting from it.
The simple act of taking a little walk can be one of the best exercises known for both mind and body. It doesn’t cost a cent but the rewards are priceless!
Why don’t you try it out? Take a little stroll and remember to always keep safety in mind when planning your walk.
God bless!

Very good advice even for those who do aerobics and not walk. I do walk on mornings when the weather is fine and I must agree with you that it is relaxing and allows you to forget your cares as you appreciate the beauty around you. You have written a clear and easy-to-follow exercise programme for both mind and body. Thank you.
