Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean. -David Searls
Death is not the end of something, simply only the beginning. Most of us fear death itself not what lies beyond. Curiosity does get the best of us, we try praying and seeking guidance from every source but the one who knows, God.
We live and plan for the future with no regards to when we might actually die. We don't know how or when, we just don't assume anytime soon. Our mentality is: we have all the time in the world. The reality is that time maybe now.
God doesn't mean for death to be a mystery or leave us clueless. He wants us to be more prepared what lies beyond. It's the destination once death arrives that is truly important. Only two destinations exist and you choose where you go. Options: Heaven or Hell.
The destination is a matter of faith, whether you chose to accept Christ's gift of salvation or reject him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.-Romans 10:13. Christ loved us enough to take the punishment we deserved on Calvary's Cross. He wants none to perish but all to come to knowledge of his saving grace.
Life has many choices, eternity only has two. When you come to Christ he accepts you as you are. He doesn't ask for perfection, he offers his love and a free gift of salvation for all who seek his name.
When you stand on the ocean's horizon to admire the view and death has past let your eternity be the most beautiful view you've ever seen.

For those of us who know Christ, death is not feared. We all want to live, but there is comfort that we shall "really live" up there. Thank you for sharing this with us. What a view is awaiting us. Thomas
