Before The Door
Wandering high and low, far and wide
Amid the shores and countryside…
I press onward to explore.
Yearning to see your face for days; now years
Along the way drowning in troubles and fears…
Yet, you were always there to lift me up once more.
Never worthy could I ever be.
Lord Jesus paid my debt for me.
My just penalty, He did not ignore.
Stay near me Lord, and never depart
Always dwell within my heart,
Tis’ your mercy I cry out for.
You have built my faith and guarded my soul.
Only with you can I be made whole…
I remain your witness to all, before The Door.

John 10: 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in,
he shall be saved, and shall go
in and out, and find pasture.

Ah... From first line to last, you capture the comforting essence of how we find hope in this troublesome world... by living our lives always "at the Door."
Yes, if we knock our Lord & Savior will let us in. He will never close the door on us or turn us away regardless of what we've done. He'll shelter and protect us in our times of need and give us comfort in our darkest hours.
