Derek, You did a lot of research for this article and it was evident that through your research you learned to respect the ideas and characters of these two men. It was a most interesting article and I enjoyed learning some of the history of the Presbyterian church. These early leaders certainly stand before us and challenge us in our commitment and faith. There is so much positive material in your article. At times I had a hard time following because of grammar inconsistencies and I would recommend that you might have someone work with you a little on the editing and polishing of this piece. In a few places it needs to be more clearly articulated and reworded for clarity. All in all though, I found it to be something that you were passionate about, full of interesting historic information and a challenge to my thinking. There was a lot of pre-reading and I'm sure it was quite an undertaking to sort through so much material. Thank you for the work and the obvious convictions that you shared.
