So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matt 6:9-10 BSB
Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus asked us to pray that our Fathers will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. Today, we find this temporal world in as much chaos as we have ever seen. With increasing fear and division fostered by the enemies lies and deception; Jesus solution has not changed. We need to keep our eyes fixed on Him as we pray that our Fathers will be done on earth, as in heaven.
The time is here to forget about ourselves and building treasure in this world. We need to be like the soldier who goes off to battle, willing to give up their dreams in this life for the greater good. We are God’s ambassadors in this world, children of the King of kings and citizens of heaven. When we accept that our home and treasure are in heaven, our hearts will be there too.
There has never been a better time to fully embrace God’s word and make an all-out move from the safe zone into the faith zone. The faith zone is not where fear lies as the enemy wants us to believe. The faith zone is where tormenting fears are vanquished, as the lie they have always been. It’s where Jesus peace lives and we become more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
Each of us can play a part in bringing our Fathers will into fallen world, the love of Christ that overcomes all evil. The love we know so well. Forgetting what lies behind and pressing forward in faith, Jesus calls us to love, give, help, bless, encourage and pray as we walk by faith, not by sight.
When we are fixed on the author and finisher of our faith, and His deep and abiding love, compassion, we rise in His peace and power above all circumstances. Let’s encourage and build up one another in the faith as we love others like Jesus. Let’s go out on that limb and offer eternal life in Christ to the lost, no longer fearing man. Let’s move into the faith zone and not look back.
Many more New Covenant Bible Studies HERE. Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross.
And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” Luke 22:20
