Our house in Heaven.
Has each one of us been given a house in Heaven? And is it our responsibility to take care of it? Using this as an analogy as well as it having truth to it can we, one burn our house down and have no place to live up in heaven and have to live somewhere else. Two,, can other people dirty our house leave trash and mud all over the place.
The first analogy is kind of self-explanatory but might be important to ponder. Can we truly burn our house down this argument can be addressed with such issues as the Arminian and Calvin debate? However, the next part of getting our heavenly house dirty is a whole other subject. The main point is sin. When we were saved we asked Jesus into our lives to forgive us of our sins. To make us as white as snow. A new creature. A new creation. And the Bible says when ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins that God forgives us of all of our sins. However, is there residue of our sins is there repercussions from our misconduct, our sins. Are there consequences from our sins?
Yes, there seems to be, so that would be the dirt or trash that is left in our house. As an example, if we sin and get pregnant are their consequences from this sin that will last for a while a lifetime really yours and the child's and everyone else involved your parents and grandparents friends. However, we can turn that sin the baby into a blessing or the child can suffer for the rest of their life not being wanted and loved. With this in mind lets go a step further about the trash and dirt in our house. When we ask and have asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins was that all of our sins or just some of them. All of them. What about the sins that other people have done in our lives that have affected us, some of us greater than others. Do they count are they apart of Gods plan for salvation too? Are they included when we ask Jesus save us and forgive us and give us eternal life, the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of God. Are the sins that other people have committed in and on our lives included in the death and resurrection of God's Son the sacrifice for our sins that we may be forgiven. Sometimes we do not even know all of the sins that have affected our lives. They maybe remote generations removed from our memory and knowledge but the consequences the residue has influenced our lives so greatly that it takes a lifetime to cleanse.
Let's say that our Grandmother or mothers child was a result of a rape or a molestation. Is that mother or now grandmother not going to have issues with that child and her fear and mistrust of men for the rest of her life. Will the child not have issues as well possibly not being loved properly or if it is a female child possibly the child will be overprotected even spoiled. Now that child will grow up confused and felt not loved and possibly even felt rejected because of the gender. So then this child grows up with issues from not receiving the proper caring and nurturing the each one of us needs as a child growing up. So let's say that they begin to get into trouble and get hooked on drugs and other addictive substances to possibly numb the pain if that is truly possible maybe a temporary band-aid that only makes things worse, but we do it.
There are many possible scenarios that one could use to address the issue but the point is that there are many different type of sins and many different ways to look at them. However, the best way is to not sin in the first place. The Old Testament and the New Testament are all about sin, but in a good way really. If we do not get bogged down and miss the forest because of the trees. Look at all of the laws in the Old Testament, and the New they are all about hurting people and God. The laws of God are not to be mean they are about not hurting other people. Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself. The best way is, just do not hurt anyone in the first place, so they do not have to deal with the consequences of your sin. Let us ask God and Jesus to forgive us of all of our sins and sin no more. Brake the cycle. It takes a lifetime to heal from one mistake that someone may have made even one hundred years ago. It's better not to go there down that road, then to try and clean up the mess that has been made.
How do we clean our house? Ask God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit to cleanse us from all unrighteousness all sins that we have done and that have been done against us. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us. Be free from all trash in our house, sweep it out pray it out, forgive it out. God cleanse us, God and Jesus forgive us of all of our sins that dirty our house. When we go to heaven we are not going to carry these sins with us they are going to stay here on earth where they come from. God will not allow no dirt in heaven nothing unclean no hate to harm no evil. God forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness that we may be free to be all that you have created us to be and that we will be in heaven as well as when you come here on earth to clean up the mess that we have made by walking away from you. God make us whole. Make us be all that you want us to be.
