As Christ did, so should we do
Little did the group of fishermen knew what their real calling was until they met The One who promised to make them ‘fishers of men’, Who would make them rescuers of precious souls who were being lost to hell.
“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.”
John 17:18 NKJV
God aligned the purpose of life for His disciples to His purpose on the earth, Jesus wanted them to do that which He did, and to do it in power and joy.
Every precious soul in this earth is a creation of God with a definite and blessed purpose to glorify God in everything always, yet we do not find this happening in our world, for we fear and dread the deeds of men who are bent on doing harm and destruction being totally ignorant that they were not called for such works, but rather works through which they may glorify God.
As Jesus reminded us by His words and deeds to be one with God and to love everyone with an unconditional love, so has He required from us to do, however as we discussed how the world has drifted away from its blessed purpose, there is a need of someone who would assemble the sinners and through the help of God lead them to sainthood, there is a need for someone who would take the news of hope and love to them who are scared by distress, hopelessness and fear.
The group of fishermen, tax collectors and the other disciples of Jesus did this and with great power extended the love of God to many more making them worthy citizens of heaven by the Lord’s grace
“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:10-11 NKJV
When we look at the lost today, what do we feel? Do we feel the compassion of the Lord within our souls?
This is how Jesus reacted :
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Matthew 9:36 NKJV
May God trouble our hearts,
May tears roll down in prayer,
May our hearts yearn and pray
For the precious lost soul,
My we with God’s help always,
Lead them to God our real goal.
God Bless,
Abraham
