“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10
God desires that we would have life more abundantly. However, the following three areas will rob us from that life that God desires us to have. The great news is that Jesus came to restore what the thief has robbed from our lives. God is the source we need for this abundant life.
Depression robs us from this life more abundantly. According to Web Md, "An estimated 19 million American adults are living with major depression" Some of the causes of depression include Abuse, medications that we take, the loss of a love one, conflicts, genetics, etc. God loves you and does not want you to suffer depression, so he came so that you can enjoy life.
Abuse robs us from this life more abundantly. Some of the areas of abuse include, physical, emotional, sexual, financial, digital (online postings), and even stalking. There have been many people who just give up on life, because of what someone else has done to them. Taking your life because of abuse is not the answer. Turn to Jesus who can heal your broken heart. He loves you and desires to give you life.
Sin also robs you from this life more abundantly. Sin is simply breaking God's law. Sin is when we do or not do what God wants us to do. Sin is basically doing what we want to do, and not caring what God has to say about the matter. God loves us with a Fathers love. A parent does not set rules because they hate us, but because they love us and know what the outcome will be if we disobey those rules.
We need to turn to Jesus to receive this life more abundantly. He loves us and desires that you would enjoy your life. He knows what is best for you, because he knows the end result. Will you ask Jesus into your life today. He has come to give you peace, joy and happiness.
If you would like this life more abundantly just repeat this prayer. Dear Jesus, I am in need of the life that you have to offer. I want to be at peace and desire the life that you have to offer. Please come into my life and heal my broken heart. I choose to turn from my ways and make you the Lord of my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
