Encouragement
Hebrews 10:23, 24, 35, 36.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
Dear friend,
One of the surest, most realistic and practical definition of real, active faith is founded on indomitable persistence! Here, we could confidently conclude that faith can't fail! Until we express our faith - the Word of God we trust - with persistence and confidence, we keep wavering and remain unstable, without positive results. But as we grow from believing to knowing, then we start expecting because we're now trusting! Unfailingly, failure is swept into our oblivious past eternally, Hallelujah! - Please read Luke 18:1-8; 1John 5; 14, 15; Proverbs 3:5, 6; James 1:5-8; Hebrews 4:14-16.
Another close study of the true meaning and definition of faith would also reveal that it is synonymous with absolute obedience. It's impossible to separate faith in God and His Word from absolute obedience to God and His Word. And one other factor that further establishes the marriage of faith and obedience is confidence. For our obedience to receive God's approval as an act of faith, it must be expressed confidently. It is confidence that elevates our belief to faith and knowing and then ultimately to an established, unmovable trust, Hallelujah!
Hebrews 11:7, 8, 20, 22.
It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. It was by faith that Isaac blessed his two sons, Jacob and Esau. He had confidence in what God was going to do in the future.
The excitement of the adventure of faith is that we develop and build up our faith in God's Word - through prayer, meditation and study - in order to see and receive the promise. While the world and the carnal insist we must see before we believe. Therefore, never be surprised, offended or discouraged when you become the object of ridicule as you distinguish yourself walking by faith. From ages past, people of faith have been ostracized as ridiculous, amusing anti-socials and many times as total outcasts, from a normal society.
Luke 8:51-55.
When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn’t let anyone go in with him except Peter, John, James, and the little girl’s father and mother. The house was filled with people weeping and wailing, but he said, “Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” But the crowd laughed at him because they all knew she had died. Then Jesus took her by the hand and said in a loud voice, “My child, get up!” And at that moment her life returned, and she immediately stood up! Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
As the disciples watched the amazing demonstration of God's power and blessings in Jesus' ministry, and realized the magnitude of His faith in God and His Word, they cried out for more faith. Luke 17:5. But Jesus told them instead, that persistent, continual and repeated use of even a mustard seed type of faith will produce great results and grow in confidence and effectiveness. Keep putting your present faith to use repeatedly.
Repetition facilitates, is a catalyst and gives impetus to dexterity and mastery. If you will be determined and disciplined enough to overlook and eventually overcome the boredom resulting from the monotony of repetition, through persistence, focus and witty experimentation, in no time you'll become a marvel, master and a star, making you wonder why people are wonder about your ingenious and exceptional performance.
As soon as our faith clicks and gets God's attention, then approval, the inevitable result is change! Things, circumstances and situations begin to turn around for better. Growth comes, and with it comes favour, wisdom, boldness etc, etc. As a result even though our beginning was small and trivial, though it was insignificant, nonsensical and inconsequential. Whether our beginning was small-minded, mediocre and obscure, this latter end is being supernaturally empowered and accompanied by great, glorious, stupendous increase in leaps and bounds. You're breaking forth with excellence, class and distinction. You're walking in superabundance, great glory, fame and praise. All to the glory of God, Hallelujah! - Please read Job 8:7; Job 17:9; Proverbs 4:18.
Enjoy a marvelous day in God's awesome presence.
