Apologetics
There’s a running argument out there in the world and somewhere in closer that says, “I didn’t ask to be born, nor did I ask to be born with what you may call the nature of a sinner. No, I wasn’t consulted, so kindly leave me alone and I’ll find my own way.”
You say, “Leave me alone” but aren’t you and I already alone enough? And given the fact that we WERE born and, let’s just say for a moment it’s true, that we were also born with a sin nature on top of it because of an ancestor’s unwise choice, wouldn’t we just be continuing and extending that foolishness or that lack of wisdom by refusing the antidote? And if we weren’t even in existence yet, how could we ever have been consulted?
You say in response that an all powerful Creator could do the impossible, could consult me before I was ever even here or there to consult. Maybe so, but the all powerful creator God did not choose to do so. Perhaps there was a good reason why the Creator chose not to do so. Perhaps it has something to do with being not only all-powerful but being also all-wise and all good. (omnibenevolent)
