Encouragement
In life we all have our To Be Done lists, Pending work lists, Wish lists and so on and so forth to plan our Itinerary for the day, week, month and even a planner for the whole year.
However there are some things in life which do not need to be jotted down as a reminder. These are the spontaneous jobs or even routine work which is followed day by day automatically.
We certainly do not need to note down Prayer as something to be done for the next day because it comes naturally from our hearts and lips.
Similarly attending the Eucharist is a welcome honour to God where we wait to spend time with Him to hear His Word and receive His Body and Blood.
We have all heard this famous line of a popular hymn; "We will be blessed because we came."
How many times in life have we tried to put off something but later decided against it and gone ahead only to find that it was worth choosing this decision?
There may have been instances when we thought we would give the church service a miss on account of being tired or unwell only to later change our mind and attend knowing that we are surely going to be blessed everytime we walk in to attend the Eucharist.
God rewards not only our efforts in deciding to attend but also the underlying loyalty that we keep towards him.
We have read in Matthew Ch.21:29-31 on how Jesus tells a parable of a Father who calls two of his sons and asks them to go and work in the vineyard. While the elder son readily promises to do so, he later changes his mind and does not go.
The younger son however who refuses outright later decides against his decision, has a change of heart and goes and works in the vineyard.
Jesus concludes by asking his disciples as to which of the two sons did his father's will. He also tells them that those who do not believe in the Gospel at first have a change of heart on seeing the righteousness of God and begins to believe in Him whereas the others after affirming their belief later change their mind and refuse to work in the vineyard of the Lord.
We too make so many promises to the Lord but later lose track and do not keep them. While there are yet others who are sure they wont give in but God changes their heart and they turn towards Him with dedication and service.
I came across a beautiful post that read; "No Excuses".
It went on to relate on how we cannot give any excuse on weakness as the lady with the haemorrhage dredged up her last strength to touch the hem of the garment of Jesus in the midst of a pressing crowd. We also cannot give the excuse of height after Zacchaeus climbed the tree to see Jesus passing by. Neither can we give the excuse of poverty after the widow put in all her meagre offerings into the money box at the Temple nor can we give the excuse of age after David killed the Giant Goliath.
We even cannot give the excuse of death after Daniel spent the night in the lion's pit and most of all we cannot give the excuse of being lost after the day Grace came through Christ.
If we are intent on fulfilling our mission in life through Jesus Christ no thunder or storm either from heaven or on earth can stop us in reaching Him.
As it is said;"The deeper you go into what you truly desire in your life, the more connected you will feel to your dream and you will enhance your ability to manifest it at will."
The Lord will surely get the right people in our life at the right time for the right work to be completed by us. We just have to place our wholehearted faith in Him.
To reflect on a profound line; "The loveliest day comes when you wake up and find that life still colours your world through people who truly care and never fail to remember you."
After all, when great people get going, the going is always great! And all this for a greater God whose Love is the greatest in the Universe.
