When I consider the depths my depravity has taken me, it puts me in a state of pure shock.
Yet my God thinketh on me, He brought me out of an horrible pit and set my feet upon a Rock.
My life was spent in constant ruin surrounding myself with the ungodly my soul was securely locked.
Yet my God was thinking on me, he lifted me out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a Rock.
I lived my life daily so dangerously, similar to playing roulette with a loaded pistol, cocked.
Yet my God was thinking on me, he brought me out of an horrible pit and set my feet upon a Rock.
He came to me lying by the pool of sin and asked me, Wilt thou be made whole? If so take up thy bed and walk.
For my God was thinking on me, lifting me gently from the miry clay and setting my feet upon a Rock.
He broke the chains that had me so tightly bound, by a cruel, merciless master with time so close to running out on the clock.
Yet my God was thinking on me, he brought me out of an horrible pit and set my feet upon a Rock.
That was an end, for a new beginning lay before me as he opened up doors, and new passageways that before seemed blocked.
Because my God was thinking on me, lifting me gently from the miry clay and setting my feet upon the everlasting Rock.
He put new desires in my heart that included learning his word, for the first time in my life my ship was securely docked.
And Why, Because my God was thinking on me, he brought me out of an horrible pit and set my feet upon a Rock.
Leading my life just like he said he would in his word to a place of truth, no longer being a servant that is mocked.
Because my God was thinking on me, lifting me gently from the miry clay and setting my feet upon the everlasting Rock.
He has now kept me for many blessed years, carrying me through diverse trials now a part of God’s peculiar flock.
Because Jesus loved this Great Sinner of mankind, lifting me from the miry clay, from the most horrible of pits and set my unworthy feet upon a Rock.
