Where are we going Lord? I wasn’t sure, but I was unfamiliar with the harsh terrain.
I did know that the path got steeper as we went and stumbling, I cried out in pain.
In the beginning I thought he would gently lead me another direction, I found later on this path for a season I would stay.
The mental anguish was acute, the burden was so heavy and comfort came not to me whether by night, or day.
At this time all I could see was my burden, my path and I began to realize that painful though it be.
There are innumerable other God’s dear children suffering with burdens much greater than these.
I meditated on one of my Father’s names, the God of all comfort, who comforteth us in all our tribulations.

Even though the Lord has left me here for this present time, I still find this struggle for the love of self within me.
Part of me wants to be back on the path of comfort, the other part wants to be right where the Lord wants me to be.
It is God’s will that I carry this burden, I must be determined regardless the span of time required of me.
To go my way without murmuring, and willing to comfort others that God’s providence allows me to meet.
I am now more familiar with this valley, time putting salve on my wounds, at times though still reminded of the searing pain.
Because it is still just as fresh as the day it first happened, and the Lord will only do this if it will be for my gain.
Most of my days he fills again with comfort as his name suggest the Father of Mercies, and the God of all Comfort.
And his children don’t always understand but sometimes to get to this point we must go through a time of hurt.
If you will follow him, he will not fail you, for any trials we go through are not designed to break us in any way.
Quite the opposite, the Master Potter produces beautiful pieces of pottery, the time to fix, and repair is while we are still just pieces of clay.
