The Narrow/Wide Gate
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV
Walking through the narrow Gate:
. There are fewer options to choose from.
. There is no scope for sin.
. There is confidence.
. There is holiness.
. The presence of God is assured.
. Indwelling joy and God’s peace reigns our life.
. There is providence and protection from the Lord God.
. This way leads to eternal life
Walking through the wider Gate:
. There are many options.
. Sin (with its dreadful consequences) is entertained.
. There is lack of confidence and surety.
. Un-holiness, malice and deceit prevails
. God’s presence is not there.
. The heart is filled with doubt, fear, guilt and remorse
. Dependence on God for providence and protection is missing
. This way leads to eternal destruction.
God Bless,
Abraham.
