SOON COMES THE DAY
You who found me in bitter delusion
You who pulled me from sin with Your grace
I'll not sense perfect peace in this lifetime
But one day I shall gaze at Your face.
And the gates of forever shall swing open wide
And I'll skip like a calf as I journey inside
And my joy shall be days without measure.
Don't look for regret in my countenance
I'm a child of Jesus' Blest Father,
Though all hell should assail
I have seen through the veil
That His love is my ultimate treasure.
As His son, bathed in blood I must never give in
For I walk not in armor of solitude.
Oh Great Lion of Judah
You're the reason I live
Keep the homefires burning
For Your home is my yearning
Till I reach heaven's shore, heart renewed.
