Adonijah or Solomon?
The Lord will decide.
It is difficult, and for me, impossible, to not comment on some of the circus that is taking place in our political system at this point in our National Elections.
Our election process has been reduced to inane and bitter comments, accusations of bloated content, as well as personal elevation of bloated content, and threats that would be expected of a Thug, not of someone running for President of the United States.
I am disappointed with several news reporters on my favorite news station; not because they have a differing opinion than my preferences but rather, because I could have never imagined them being able to be so bitterly biased in their reporting.
Yes, reporters of the news have a right to their opinions, but as professionals, Reporters of the News, they should be able to continue to report two or more sides of the news, instead of drinking the potion of one candidate and then having the "angry bird" look on their faces as they use a full hour of air time to bow to and to quote only that candidate's lines, all the while trashing other candidates. I suppose they haven't thought past their present emotions and do not understand, or care, that they have their own reputation to protect, and maybe a future for themselves as respected reporters.
I am sad about it because those reporters have forever made themselves a person of question when they report news in the future; I will naturally wonder if they are being biased in their reporting, since I know they are capable, so capable to do it. I will not be able to trust them any longer.
My hat is off to those Reporters of News whose political opinions I cannot detect; some do just report what is happening.
The Campaign is surely a reflection of the mind-set of some of this Nation's People. A small amount of the Campaign is standard and usual, and some of it is purely bedlam, the ranting of a kindergarten brat.
So who will win the Presidency? I don't know. I can only pray and trust God to give to us what He has determined.
Sometimes God, in His mercy will give a good Leader to a Nation; sometimes He sends judgment by giving a bad Leader.
We will all have to wait and see; but let us pray for mercy. I will agree with God. It is He Who puts up, and it is He Who brings down.
