What do you See?
by Bayo Omoyiola, Jr
Scriptural reference:
The word of the LORD came to me saying, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "I see a rod of an almond tree." Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it - Jeremiah 1:11-12
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”.... - Numbers 13:30-33
But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ ...... Then the LORD said to Moses, ... But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it. ...Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, you shall by no means enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in. - Numbers 14:6-8,11,24, 30.
Sermon:
With GOD, all things are possible. So relax. Cheer up. Victory is yours and victory shall be yours. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. That situation you are presently facing won't kill you. You are bigger than it and you are coming out of it in Jesus name. In Numbers 13 and 14, you could see that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit. They had a different mindset as compared with the other Israelis who went with them to spy out the promised lands. Caleb had a daring Spirit and was ready to fight and take possession. Joshua also had faith in GOD and believed that with GOD, they could lay hold of the land. Because of their faith mentality, GOD blessed them and rewarded them. The other men saw defeat and saw the people in the promised territories as giants. They saw themselves as grasshoppers compared to the people but Caleb and Joshua saw victory. They saw Israel defeating the people in the promised territories.
What kind of mindset do you have? Are you afraid of your present circumstances? What do you see? Defeat or victory? GOD asked Jeremiah what can He see. He said he could see - almond tree. God then replied and said He has well seen and that He would hasten his word (Jeremiah 1:11-12). GOD told Abraham in Genesis 13:14-16 “Look around from where you are. Look north and south, east and west. I will give you all the land you see". I shared this two scenarios with you to show you that GOD is interested in what you see. It is true that by strength, no man can prevail but it is also true that - with GOD all things are possible. Beloved, I want you to have faith in the latter and develop the GOD kind of faith.
As you walk on by faith, I see you winning. I see you laying hold of the promise. He who promised you is able to fulfill his promise. Every Goliath in your life who has been against the fulfillment of the promise is coming down in Jesus name. Every mountain before you is becoming a plain. Every desert in your life is becoming a river. GOD would do the impossible in your life. He will turn around your captivity and give you all round victory in Jesus name. I see you testifying. For your tests are going to become testimonies. You will testify. I say - you will testify. If you believe, shout - Hallelujah. And so shall it be for you in Jesus name.
Prayer: Father GOD, give me a conquering anointing and give me victory over every seemingly difficult situation I am facing. Bring down every giant before me and let every mountain before me become as a plain. I pray with thanksgiving in Jesus name.
