Poetry
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
Praising His holy name;
All within I console,
Each time that I proclaim.
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
Remember all the good;
That He has in control,
Just as all that we should.
For the Lord is the one,
Who forgives all your sin;
Through the cross hung His Son,
For new life to begin.
He is the one who heals,
All of your diseases;
So much better it feels,
Because it appeases.
For the one that rescues,
Your living from the pit;
Asks that your values,
That you never forfeit.
He is the one that crowns,
You with His compassion;
Makes smiles from your frowns,
Joys He will not ration.
The one who fills your life,
With comfort of blessings;
And who will handle strife,
Through the peace that He brings.
You become young again,
Spreading eagle wings;
The feeling once had been,
Praise from the heart that clings.
The Lord does what is right,
And He does what is fair;
His wisdom has insight,
Showing that He does care.
The Lord is merciful,
And ready to forgive;
Pardon so plentiful
To eternally live.
