Encouragement
Usually humanly speaking, we would try to avoid facing the issues we are having...like divorce, break up, having an affairs, or all sort of betrayal or other struggles...
We tend to live as if nothing has bothered us or even happened to us, we anticipate so much pain ahead of us if we really want to face it ourselves...so many times we try to avoid, try to run away from it......
Or in our friends' circle....we don't dare to bother others for our troubles, or maybe because we are in high position in church which it is a disgrace for us to show our weaknesses to others....as we feel that we should be somehow acting perfect in church and we hide we try to behave like normal (without any hurts and pain).
What would Jesus prefer us to do? To avoid pain, to avoid issues, or to face them with His comfort and strength? I believe the latter is what Jesus would love us to do.....
By avoiding pain or hurts, that's not a permanent method for our healing...instead the pain or hurts that we are trying to hide and bury will one day comes back to the surface....It could make us even worse than ever...it's not the healthy way either to deal with our issues....
We are encouraged to go to the throne of Grace for our needs...for all of our needs...it is okay to cry over something, in regardless of men or women. Men are permitted to cry of course....you don't have to stop up your flow of tears even when you are in great pain! It is okay to shed some tears.....it is okay to cry out to God in anguish of heart....God is there to listen, God is there to comfort you and be your strength.
We are encouraged to bring things to the surface, no hiding but let your issues come to 'light', let your issues be known to God, let your hurts and pain be known to the passionate God who loves you so dearly, my brothers and sisters!
No more burying, no more hiding...but expose the darkness which is trying to destroy you - depression, disappointment, discontentment, etc. Lay them all out before the throne of God...it is okay and God is listening.
Be encouraged today, brothers and sisters.
