Devotionals
I experience a common sign of aging, gradual loss of hearing. It comes as no surprise, as both my Dad and grandfather were very hard of hearing. In addition, I listened to my favorite 1960’s bands in loud concerts. For twenty years, I had music blaring in my earphones when I worked as a disc jockey. I am thankful that I can still hear.
Can I?
Can I hear the Lord?
Yes, he speaks up to the hard of hearing.
“Long ago God spoke to the fathers by the prophets at different times and in different ways. In these last days, He has spoken to us by [His] Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things and through whom He made the universe. He is the radiance of His glory, the exact expression of His nature, and He sustains all things by His powerful word (Hebrews 1:1-3a HCS).”
I can hear; when I respond to His messages with faith and repentance, He forgives.
