On the early morning of September 28th, 2014, I awoke extremely early after a most puzzling dream. Deep in the dark recesses of the morning, when all the world lay fast asleep, I awoke suddenly. Now I will try to recap all that I remember of my dream: " In my dream, my son and I were conversing, regarding my life story that I am currently writing. He pleaded with me to tell him more. Then, all in an instant, my son and I were walking through some gentle woods, lightly dotted with some trees. Soon, we approached a small lake, filled with soft lapping waves. My son urgently tugged on the sleeve of my shirt, responding loudly, " Mama, could we please make some fishing poles? There are some sticks over there in the brush, and I have some string in my pocket, see?" He readily opened the palm of his hand to reveal some white yarn. After much prodding, I agreed. After making some makeshift fishing poles, we climbed into a boat that just happened to be on the shore. Once we paddled out to the middle of the lake, we tied some bate to the fishing lines, threw our lines out and waited. After what seemed like forever, I gently spoke to my son, saying" Son, we have been here for hours, and we haven't caught one fish. Let's row to shore." My son earnestly pleaded with me, crying out," Mama, please just wait here a little while longer. Surely, some fish will come." At last, I heeded the voice on my 9-year-old, and we waited. All of a sudden, a couple fish jumped into the boat. Then a couple more. After awhile there were so many fish my boat was sinking. That dream started coming true about a month ago, when I received a much needed gift of $1000 in the form of two MasterCard gift cards. I was dumbfounded. Within the past month, my son and I have received financial assistance from unknown sources ranging close to $1,700, plus food, toiletries, clothing, and many other needed blessings. I am amazed how much God loves His children. Being a single mother, and a home school family, was hard enough. Plus, God blessed us with a part-time caregiver position, working with a friend, aiding her in the care of her elderly family member. God is the giver of all such good things. He is the Husband to she who has no husband, and a Father to the fatherless.
