Encouragement
He Always Hears... (John 11:41 & 42)
“Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” (NIV)
These words were a part of a prayer Jesus prayed when He called Lazarus out from the grave. He thanked the Father for hearing Him because He knew without a doubt that God always heard His prayers. His heart was always aligned with the Father’s and whatever He prayed for was an expression of the Father’s will. When He called Lazarus forth from death to life, He had the absolute assurance that what He declared was starting to be. Friend, you and I can have the same assurance always. I really believe that God hears every prayer we pray. There is nothing in the Word of God about how to deal with unanswered prayers because we are meant to have answers to our prayers.
In 1 John 5: 14 & 15 we see how we can always have the assurance that God hears and answers our prayers in the same way Jesus did. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: That if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we have asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14 & 15). Jesus never prayed for anything that was outside the Father’s will and He knew every time that there would be a powerful, positive outcome. When we pray in alignment with God’s heart, we know that He hears us and answers, and this is so exciting!
So how can we always pray in harmony with His will? 1) By praying in accordance with His Word as revealed in the Scriptures, and also His Word as spoken by prophecy over our lives. When we agree with what has come forth from His heart, we know that we are declaring and calling forth God’s will, and it has to be fulfilled. Abba is giving you the opportunity to take your prayer life into a whole new dimension. He is inviting you to begin to pray according to His Word. He is inviting you to pray in partnership with the Holy Spirit. He is taking you into a season of answered prayers, a season of breakthrough!
Dear friend, you may have been experiencing a time of discouragement, and perhaps you have wondered if God even hears your prayers; today, the Father wants you to know that He has seen each tear you cried; He has heard every prayer you prayed. Weeping remained for a night but joy comes in the morning. There is a new day dawning for you. This is a new season of healing and sweet peace flowing from the heart of God. He is taking you to higher ground and teaching you how to pray. He is reversing the cycle of disappointment and negative expectation and replacing it with His joyful anticipation! Let the Word flow through you. Let the Holy Spirit lead you. I see explosions happening in the spiritual realm as you take God at His Word and pray in faith. There are mighty manifestations beginning to come forth in answered prayers. God has been waiting for you to pray His way!
I pray today that all God’s promises and Words for your life are fulfilled. Expect your breakthrough, and know that your Father always hears!
