A Spotless Bride
Come, O Blessed City, come
Radiant beams on high doth wait
For the splendor of His Glory
Shown upon each loved ones’ face.
Coming down from the heavens
Glistening as a spotless bride
Holy habitation coming
Where those set apart abide.
Bowing before the Holy King
Singing, praising, crying, “Holy”,
“Strength, Honor, Glory, Blessing be”,
Given to the One Eternal
God-of-all-creation, there to see
Even those of unseen glory
Still await in heaven’s wings
To be revealed in timely story
When the wedding party brings
Christ and His bride.
The banquet’s ready;
“Come and eat, Beloved, Come”
All who love Him, serve Him, bless Him
Marriage supper of God’s Son.
Here to reign, hope is given
As His mystery’s plan unfolds
The ever-loving God has risen
The opened-scroll having been unrolled.
“HOLY, HOLY, HOLY”,
Heaven cries forever more.
Death’s doomed infernal far removed
From life and love and light’s galore.
