4/7/13 Sunday Pastor Michael sermon Guaranteed Success: It Starts with My Beliefs Jeremiah 29:10-14
================================================================================================================================================================
Success starts with what you believe about yourself. It’s the people who have a strong belief that they can and will be successful that are successful. They believe that they can and will find themselves in the place God has for them to be. Most use “Self- Talk”. They train themselves to tell themselves that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. They tell themselves that God will provide all their needs. They tell themselves that if God is for them, who can be against them! No one can beat God! They tell themselves that they can do all things through Christ that strengthens them. We need to talk to ourselves. Tell yourself that God said it and I believe it! As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Self-talk is vital to getting to where we are to go in life. Be like David who told Goliath what he was going to do to him before the fight started. Our belief system, what we believe will determine our success. According to our faith, be it unto us.
In our text, Jeremiah is talking to people who had rebelled against God and suffered the consequences. The children of Israel had worshipped idols and Babylon was taking them into slavery for 70 years. God was telling them that after their bondage, He had plans to prosper them. Even though the children of Israel were going into slavery, it didn’t mean that they had to act like slaves. Even though we are broke, we don’t need to act like we are broke. Even though we came from the ghetto, that doesn’t mean we have to act like the ghetto! God will bless us and take us through! He will do the plans that He has for us, plans to prosper us. We don’t need anybody but God!
1) We Need to Get Our Thinking Right:
God has planned the best for us and we need to have Faith. We need to encourage ourselves and throw ourselves a party because of what God promised us. Go to the Word, find God’s promises and believe it. Think that you are better than what you are experiencing right now. Prepare for the blessing.
2) Don’t Talk Yourself Out of Stuff:
Bad self- talk will talk you right out of God’s blessing. Sometimes the enemy is You. It’s you that is stopping you from doing better things. Tell yourself to stop telling yourself what you can’t do. Instead tell yourself that you are what God says you are and you can be what God says you can be. God has plans, a future for us, a plan to bless us. Just because we are going thru a mess right now, does not mean God has forgotten us. Believe that God wants better for us!
3) It Has to Be The Right Timing:
It is not that God doesn’t want us to have it, but it’s just not the right time. Once we are no longer hard headed, then God can bless us and prepare us for something better. Some of the best things in life happened because God did not give us what we wanted! Sometimes the stuff we think we are ready for, we are not really ready. It is the timing.
4) Got to Have the Right Testimony: vs. 13-14
When we have the right thinking, belief and timing then God will bless us to have a testimony. God will bless us better than we have ever been blessed. He does this so that others will see that God blessed us. God wants to use us as a testimony so people can see how good our God is! He wants to use us as a testimony for people to see that God will do exceedingly, abundantly! Are you ready? Are you ready?
God is going to bless you! You will have a testimony for others to get jealous over what God had done for you. God gives us Guaranteed Success! Believe! Have Faith!

They search and plot as though by Me, yet it is not I that answers them. They rub the lamp that I might grant their wishes. They write out their list that I might leave presents under their tree.
They pull their teeth and place them under their pillows that they might find gold neath their head.
For the majik of this world has deceived them, and the god of desires has filled their hearts and minds. They call it the glory of the Lord, but it is Baal that they serve. - Look now, My Children. Look to me in this final hour, for I will not warn again.
The deception is strong, and has settled in firm. It is planted like an oak beside a stream.
It's roots are deep and firmly planted. - Lay not under this tree,... for the shade of such will lull you to sleep. - Watch, My Children,.... watch!"
