Already provided,
The source remains unseen,
But God is our supplier,
Our needs have been foreseen.
Sometimes we can be blinded,
Our need seems, oh, so great,
And yet provision He's arranged
We don't appropriate.
We focus on what's missing
Instead of what we have,
We do not ask for healing,
We simply ask for salve.
We do not ask specifically,
We may not even pray,
We just go on and stew and fret
Afraid of each new day.
One day He'll show us He's the source,
Sometimes all else must die,
Then finally we'll run to Him
No longer asking why.
"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." II Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
