Matt. 6:3-4 “But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth; that thy alms may be in secret and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.” KJV
Never let the left hand know
What the right hand has done;
You’ve done it for the Lord,
Comparing you should shun.
Too many times we tally
All our righteous deeds
Then we get to boasting
Our ego it surely feeds.
Don’t be counting or thinking
Enough is done in His name;
That’s wrestling agin’ the spirit;
Satan loves to play that game.
Keep on doing what’s right
Then forget it; let it go.
Go on to other things for God;
He does the counting, you know.
