God put this on my heart today so I wanted to share with you…Peace and Blessings is my prayer for you all.
You’re Missing Out
I recently took an opportunity to witness via email to a man who is a self-proclaimed atheist. I say “self-proclaimed” because I do not believe anyone is truly an atheist. An atheist -in my opinion- is someone who has CHOSEN to reject God…for whatever reason. And I am sure (to that person) there are many, but the truth is – we think It’s easier to choose not to believe in God, rather than face our own sin. If there was no God, there would be no atheist’s, right?
The Bible says in II Corinthians 5:10: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
We will all die…some sooner than others, but that day is coming for all when we will stand before God and give an account for our lives.
What will the atheist say to God on that terrible day? Sadly, he will have no excuse….I believe above all else, God will ask us what we did with the love that He gave us. Did we love and believe on His Son, Jesus Christ as our Savior? Did we love each other as He loved us?
Jesus gave us the two greatest commandments in Luke, chapter 10: 25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do and thou shalt live.
Did you see that? “This do and thou shalt live!”
I feel a great sadness in my heart for those who are too stubborn and hard-hearted to submit to a Savior who only wants to shower them with His amazing grace and abundant love! People, -and you know who you are- you just can’t imagine the joy of being in the very presence of an Almighty God while worshipping Him! You can’t imagine the joy of being with fellow-believers and seeing the light of Jesus in their eyes and their countenance! Of living each day in His mercy and seeing miracles happen in people’s lives when they come to the saving knowledge of Christ! Of circumstances that are seemingly impossible, being worked out and KNOWING it was God who intervened! Of not having enough money to pay all your bills but tithing anyway with a joyful and grateful heart for what you do have – then having an unexpected check appear in the mail! Or just seeing the bills getting paid but not understanding how it’s happening. It’s God!!!! I could go on and on about personal testimonies that have happened to me where God has shown Himself.
You can see the same things…you just have to open your eyes. Don’t miss out. Jesus promised us an abundant life in Him and it’s all true….everything in that book is true. But don’t confuse that abundant life with earthly wealth….it’s not – it could include earthly possessions but that would just be icing on the cake! It’s so much more! So much better than money could ever buy! It’s a spiritual abundance, the kind that gives you joy in the smallest of things. The kind that wakes you in the morning with a song of praise on your lips for another day to worship the Lord. It’s a peace that passes all understanding…it’s the peace of a Holy God and there is nothing in this world that could ever compare. Don’t miss it.
In John 10:10 Jesus says this:
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Who is the thief? Satan. He wants to steal life from you. Don’t let him! Don’t be stupid….Let go of your pride. You are missing out on true life!

Atheist? You are right! There is no such thing as an atheist. I knew a man who once declared himself to be an atheist. But one day he was with us in the car when we had a slight, but scarey accident. He was the first one to cry out, "Oh God! Save us!" I wish I could say that he changed after that. But to his dying day he didn't outwardly declare that he believed in God. He did say though, "I wish I could believe the way you do." Who knows? Only God knows. I hope to see him in heaven one day...
