So why does he haunt me
I welcomed him not!
Troubling my nights and my days.
Unless he abides here
He says I’m not worthy
To bear my Fathers’ great name.
From morning til’ evening
Like glue he clings to me,
Claiming to be my close friend.
Frustrated and weary
I lash out in anger
Just leave me, I beg you please!
Enduring my rantings
He draws ever closer
Patience, he claims as his twin.
Remember your first love?
He welcomed me gladly,
Not one complaint did He give.
Instead of rejecting;
Just simply embrace me,
See with your heart, not your eyes.
Nothing will bring to you
More clear understanding
Of following in His shoes.
God sent him to suffer;
For us to do like-wise
Suffering a welcomed true Friend!
Yes saints of the most high God, although hard to endure, those who are in Christ Jesus shall bear much suffering. May we count it all joy!
