What is Divine Guidance?
It is to be led by the direction of God, (Romans 8:14)
It is to operate from the supernatural level, (John 3:27; Colossians 3:3)
It is to live above the realm of sense knowledge
It is to operate at a level high above the realm of principalities and powers of darkness
It is to live and walk by Revelation Knowledge
Why Do You Need Divine Guidance?
You are not qualified to lead yourself, (Jeremiah 10:23; Proverbs 16:25)
You are surrounded by evil and spiritual attacks, (1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 10;3-4)
Safety is of the Lord – without Him, you cannot survive, (Proverbs 21:31)
The ways of God are higher than ours, (Isaiah 55:8-9)
How to Enjoy Divine Guidance:
Admit your need for the Chief Shepherd
Become a sheep of the Chief Shepherd
Desire for Divine Guidance
Recognize the voice of the Shepherd
Be willing to dwell in the fold
Humble yourself
Recognize the ministry of the Holy Spirit
Invite the Holy Spirit as your Teacher and Guide
Means of Divine Guidance:
The Perfect Will of God:
What is the will of God?
• It is God’s expressed intention(s) concerning His children
• It is His stated ways of getting things done aright to merit His reward
• It is the destiny purpose, or assignment He designed for your life
• It is discovering His plans, purposes and whole-heartedly pursuing after them
Types of will
• The perfect will
• The permissible will
• The imperfect will
The nature of God’s will
• It is good and beneficial for all those concerned
• It is time-bound and has specific durations
• It is generally acceptable and peaceable
• It is absolute and not subject to debates
• It enriches dependents of the first line of beneficiaries
• It is based on absolute obedience of the beneficiaries
The word of God, (Psalm 119:105,130; Hebrews 4:12)
– It is a searchlight to guide our path
– It is a beacon to illuminate our way
– It is an anchor to weigh our souls
– It is a compass to direct our steps
– It is a blueprint to build the foundation of our faith
– It is a charter to establish our hope
The inner witness
– The voice of the Holy Spirit within us
– The voice of our recreated and developed human spirit

By meditating on the word of God,(Joshua 1;8; Ps 1;2; Acts 20:32)
By praying in tongues, (Jude 20;I Corinthians 14:4)
By fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit,(John 16:7)
By maintaining a tender conscience,(I John 1:9-10; Acts23:1; 24:16)
By practising the Presence of God,(Exodus 33:14-15; Hebrews 13:15)
