Ever wonder how chipmunks survive the long, hard, cold winters? Chipmunks aren't domesticated like the singing Chipmunks: Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. SO how do they do it?
They store up what they need to survive during the appropriate season.
So what about those who work seasonal jobs: construction, tree work, lawn care, even sales people?
"To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.." Ecclesiastes 3:1 (AMP)
You need to do what you're supposed to, when you're supposed to or the results could be disasterous.
Financial problems are one of the many consequences of not following the seasonal calling: "...a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted." Ecclesiastes 3:2b (AMP) Gather the results of your labor so that during those barren times you will have what you need.
Granted, God will take care of us and provide for all our needs, but we must also take responsibility for our actions.
Remember the seasons of your life. Do what you're supposed to do, when you're supposed to and God will take care of the rest.
Thank you, God, for the seasons of my life. Help me to do what I'm supposed to do, when I'm supposed to do it. In Jesus' name. Amen.
