Hidden away.
You said it was cowardice
Delivering it like that,
In a place I’d find it when I was all alone.
It was. It hurt. You have wounded me to my very soul.
I don’t know if I’ll ever recover, or if I even want to try.
You’d promised to be my partner.
Bride forever.
You said you’d always love me.
Now my hope is torn asunder.
Will you choose to be there when I get back home?
I don’t know. I’m scared. Faith is bleeding from my soul.
Puddling on this fetid ground, my life slowly spilling.
Without you there can be no us,
We won’t exist.
You said we’d merged together.
That apart we’d shrivel and die.
Death, a fate I’d welcome. I won’t go on alone.
There’s nothing. It’s gone. An empty shell replaced my soul.
Eviscerated. Shattered.
And I don’t know what to do.
Oh God, I don’t know what to do.
